After twenty years of sailing with us, one of our team members has decided to venture into new waters. We are now looking for a new Dolphin to join our pod as a Microelectronics Test Engineer (M/W).
As a test engineer, your role is crucial for both optimizing our current products and ensuring the successful market launch of our upcoming innovations.
🛠️ The Role of the Test Engineer (M/F)
1️⃣ Planning Phase
Test Specification: You will draft this key document, either from scratch or by stepping into ongoing projects.
Test Plan: You will work closely with designers to develop the plan, often well before the circuit is even finalized.
2️⃣ Development & Measurements
Tables and Reports: You will use Excel to list the resources needed for each measurement.
Types of Measurements: You may work on standard or more specific measurements, which may require team brainstorming.
3️⃣ Implementation
Test Board: You will develop the electrical schematic, collaborate with board designers and subcontractors to create prototypes, and eventually the final version.
Test Environment: The role involves handling test benches, wires, and boards in a very dynamic lab environment.
4️⃣ Automation and Coding
Programming: Use LabVIEW and Testand to automate tests, including complex sequencing.
You're about to become a dolphin..
Holding an engineering degree or equivalent training (Master's level) in microelectronics, electronics you have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Previous experience in analog and/or digital design would be an asset.
You are familiar with the use of measurement instruments such as function generators, oscilloscopes, lab power supplies, and logic analyzers.
You have a strong interest in software development and programming, with experience in languages and environments like LabVIEW, Testand, and Matlab for creating test programs.
Your expertise also extends to understanding electrical schematics.
You stand out for your autonomy and ingenuity, with the ability to anticipate needs and take the initiative to gather and apply crucial information for project success.
This position offers you a versatile experience that goes beyond mere programming. You will have the chance to handle physical equipment, conduct tests, and work in a lab environment.
Unlike more design-focused roles that may be more theoretical, this role allows you to measure the concrete impact of your efforts and make tangible improvements.
